STUDENT ACCOMODATION

Mount Pleasant Halls lies in the heart of Cambridge to the North-West of the City Centre. The development comprised of the demolition of an existing office building and construction a replacement Three to Six storey building containing 272 rooms for students, common rooms and communal facilities. This includes a total of 199 ensuite rooms and 73 studio apartments.

The development was a joint venture between Osborne Developments and the Howard Group. The building was completed in the summer of 2019 and Accertum provided cost management services.

The building is within a conservation are and the scale, height and form of buildings needed to respect the surroundings. An advanced enabling works contract was implemented to demolish the existing building, undertake archaeological investigations and prepare the site to meet the St Edmunds College’s required completion date.
